If you’ve been dreaming about photographing dramatic landscapes in beautiful light, this SheClicks photography workshop in Norway could be just what you’re looking for.
Join Emily Endean and me, Angela Nicholson for an 8-day photography retreat in the Lofoten Islands, from 10th to 17th November 2026. This female-led trip brings together learning, creativity and connection in one of the most striking locations in the Arctic.

Lofoten is known for its rugged mountains, deep fjords and colourful fishing villages. During the trip, we will explore a range of locations, from sweeping beaches and coastal viewpoints to traditional rorbuer cabins and quiet harbours. Each day offers new scenes to photograph and time to slow down and really take in the surroundings.
November is a particularly interesting time to visit. The soft Arctic light creates gentle colours that linger through long sunrises and sunsets. As darkness falls, there is also the possibility of seeing and photographing the Northern Lights above the mountains and sea.

Throughout the trip, Emily and I will be there to offer guidance, share ideas and help you build confidence with your photography. Whether you are just starting out or have more experience, you will be supported in developing your own approach and making the most of each location.
This workshop is about more than taking photographs. It is about spending time in an inspiring place, sharing experiences and being part of a small group of women who enjoy photography. With a group size of 7 to 14, there is space for everyone to learn and feel included.
Over the 8 days, the itinerary includes locations such as Reine, Flakstadøya, Uttakleiv and Haukland beaches, along with time exploring Vestvågøy. There will be opportunities for short walks to viewpoints, flexible shooting sessions based on weather and light, and relaxed evenings either dining out or cooking together in the cabins.
Accommodation is in traditional rorbuer cabins with private rooms and shared facilities, giving a comfortable and authentic base for the trip.
Meals will be kept flexible to suit the pace of the trip. An arrival dinner and farewell dinner are included, while breakfasts are usually self-catered in the cabins. Lunches will be taken on the go at cafés or bakeries, and evening meals can be enjoyed in local restaurants or prepared together, depending on the group’s preference.
