I am delighted to share some exciting news from the SheClicks community. Sarah Longes, who many members will know as Sarah Williams or Sarah Williams (Longes), has been named Fotospeed #FSPrintMonday Photographer of the Year 2026.
Sarah is a very keen SheClicker and a familiar face at our meet-ups. She has led several SheClicks meet-ups at Bushy Park, sharing her knowledge of wildlife and photography while helping other members enjoy photographing the park and its inhabitants.
Her winning photograph, The Last Dance, was taken in December 2025 and shows two foxes, a mother called Grey and her daughter Star, standing on their hind legs with their paws resting on one another’s shoulders.
At first glance, the moment looks rather like a dance. The reality was quite different. Sarah explains that it was a noisy display of dominance as Grey prepared to push Star out of the family territory ahead of the breeding season.
Almost a year later, Star is established in a territory of her own and has raised three cubs. Sarah continues to observe the foxes as well as the wider fauna and flora of their environment, documenting how their behaviour and relationships change over time.

Fotospeed’s #FSPrintMonday competition encourages photographers to keep taking photographs, share newly created work and experience the value of seeing their images as physical prints.
Every Monday, photographers are invited to submit one photograph taken during the previous week using the hashtag #FSPrintMonday. Four photographs are shortlisted before an overall winner is chosen. The winning image is then professionally printed on a Fotospeed Fine Art paper and sent to the photographer.
At the end of the competition year, the weekly winners are brought together for the Photographer of the Year award.
Sarah’s photography impressed the judges through its creativity, visual impact and thoughtful approach to image making. Fotospeed also highlighted the way The Last Dance came to life as a finished print.
Toby Herlinger, Sales and Marketing Director at Fotospeed, said:
“Sarah’s photography stood out in what was an incredibly strong year for #FSPrintMonday. Her work combines creativity, technical ability and a clear personal vision, but it was the way the image translated into print that ultimately set it apart.
#FSPrintMonday is about encouraging photographers to keep creating, sharing and printing their work. Sarah’s winning photograph perfectly represents what the competition is all about, and we are absolutely delighted to name her our Photographer of the Year.”

Sarah Longes said:
“To be named the #FSPrintMonday Photographer of the Year is a real honour. The competition is a great source of inspiration for everyone who takes part and those who follow us. It also encourages photographers to create new work every week to share within a wonderfully supportive community.
Coming from a fine art background, it has always been special to see a photograph as a finished print. It is the completion of my vision. It gives the image a permanence and presence that just cannot be replicated on a screen. I am absolutely thrilled that my work connected with the judges and incredibly grateful to Fotospeed for this recognition.”
Sarah’s winning image, The Last Dance, was photographed in December 2025 and captures Grey and Star in a moment that looks almost dance-like.
In reality, it was part of a noisy display of dominance as Grey prepared to push Star out of the family territory ahead of the breeding season.
Almost a year later, Star has established a territory of her own and raised three cubs. With another dispersal season approaching, Sarah continues to observe the foxes and the wider wildlife around them.
Anyone who has spent time photographing with Sarah will know how important ethical wildlife photography is to her.
She does not bait wildlife, disclose sensitive locations or encroach upon her subjects. Her belief is that every encounter should remain the animal’s choice and that its welfare is always more important than the perfect photograph.
That approach can be seen in the way Sarah follows individual animals over long periods, building an understanding of their behaviour and relationships rather than concentrating only on a single photographic encounter.
It also gives The Last Dance a wider context. The photograph is not simply a moment between two foxes. It forms part of Sarah’s continuing observation of Grey, Star and the changing wildlife around them.
Sarah has enjoyed the #FSPrintMonday community for many years and says the award is particularly meaningful because it comes from a company whose products she genuinely admires. She hopes to undertake Fotospeed Academy training and create more prints from her portfolio at home.
I am so pleased to see Sarah receive this recognition. She gives a lot to the SheClicks community and it is lovely to see her photography celebrated in this way.
Congratulations Sarah.
