Eizo ColorEdge CG2400S Announced
Eizo has announced the the ColorEdge CG2400S, a 24.1-inch colour management monitor designed for professional and dedicated photographers and content creators. As the successor to the ColorEdge CG2420, this model is the first 24.1-inch monitor in Eizo's CG series to support HDR workflows and the first in the ColorEdge range to feature housing made from recycled plastic, underlining Eizo’s commitment to sustainability.
The ColorEdge CG2400S features a WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution display with a contrast ratio of 1800:1 – the highest in the ColorEdge CG series. This enhanced contrast ensures deeper blacks and improved shadow detail. There's also a built-in retardation film that helps maintain colour accuracy when viewed from different angles, reducing optical distortion and preserving tonal depth.
The Eizo CG2400S is also the first 24.1-inch model in the CG series to support hybrid log-gamma (HLG) and perceptual quantization (PQ) gamma curves. These functions allow more accurate HDR rendering, displaying images closer to how the human eye perceives light and colour compared to standard dynamic range (SDR) displays.
The CG2400S includes a USB Type-C port, which means a single cable handles the video signal, data transfer and power delivery of up to 70W. This streamlines workspace setups by reducing cable clutter and eliminates the need for power adaptors when connecting to a laptop or workstation.
In addition the monitor features Eizo’s integrated sensor technology and proprietary ColorNavigator 7 software for automatic calibration at scheduled intervals, removing the need for external calibration devices. This ensures consistent colour accuracy over time, making the monitor a reliable choice for colour-critical work.
The monitor includes a Sync Signal function that automatically adjusts display settings, such as input range and colour format, according to the incoming video signal. Plus, the Pixel Inspection function enables system managers to verify that colour parameters match project requirements, helping to avoid costly errors and production delays.
In line with Eizo’s sustainability goals, the CG2400S is the first ColorEdge monitor to incorporate a housing made from over 85% recycled plastic, helping to reduce plastic waste and resource consumption. The packaging has also been redesigned with moulded pulp made from recycled cardboard and newspaper.
Other key features include 98% reproduction of the DCI-P3 colour space, a 3D LUT for advanced colour grading, 10-bit simultaneous display from a 16-bit LUT for smoother gradations, Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) for screen consistency, fanless operation for silent use, a light-shielding hood, and a 5-year manufacturer's warranty.
The Eizo ColorEdge CG2400S is supplied with an andjustable-height stand.
