Built-in Lens

The PowerShot V1 features a 16-50mm equivalent built-in lens with a variable maximum aperture of f/2.8–4.5, making it suitable for everything from wide-angle vlogging to portraits. It has a 3-inch vari-angle touchscreen (but no viewfinder) for easy framing at different angles and self-recording, along with a switch that lets users toggle between stills and video modes. The lens includes a customisable control ring, allowing users to assign functions like focus, zoom or exposure compensation.

The Canon PowerShot V1 has a hotshoe on top that supports Canon’s range of accessories, including a supplied wind muff that attaches over the onboard mic. Audio features also include a microphone input, headphone jack and compatibility with the Tascam XLR adapter for professional audio setups.
