Capturing Life with Documentary Photography

Presenter: Karin van Mierlo

For Karin van Mierlo, documentary photography is the most rewarding, exciting, and challenging form of photography. At the core of a good documentary photography project is a story that connects from the heart. The only way that the story can emerge is when you shoot from the same place. In this webinar, Karin shares insights into the 3 stages of a documentary photography project plus how to become and stay connected throughout the entire process:

  • Finding the Story: The 3 things you need to tackle before you pick up your camera.

  • Telling the Story: Working with the photographic tools of documentary photography.

  • Editing the Story: How to be truthful, respectful, and ethical in your editing.
