SheClicks has announced a new women-only photography trip to Japan, taking place from 20 to 29 November 2027.

Led by SheClicks founder Angela Nicholson and award-winning photographer Helen Trust, the 10-day adventure will take participants from the bustling streets of Tokyo to the iconic landscapes around Mount Fuji before finishing in the historic city of Kyoto.

Designed specifically for women photographers, the trip combines photography tuition, cultural experiences and small-group travel, creating opportunities for participants to improve their photography while exploring one of the world’s most fascinating destinations.

The itinerary includes sunrise and night photography sessions, street photography in Tokyo’s famous districts, visits to traditional temples and gardens, and opportunities to photograph some of Japan’s best-known landmarks during the autumn colour season.

Among the highlights are visits to Senso-ji Temple, Shibuya, Omoide Yokocho, Chureito Pagoda, Oishi Park, Arashiyama Bamboo Grove and the famous red torii gates of Fushimi Inari Shrine. Participants will also travel on Japan’s renowned Shinkansen bullet train as they move between regions.

Throughout the trip, Angela Nicholson and Helen Trust will provide guidance and support, helping photographers of all experience levels make the most of the photographic opportunities available. The group will also be accompanied by an experienced local guide with extensive knowledge of the locations visited.

Speaking about the trip, Angela Nicholson said:

“Japan has been on many photographers’ wish lists for years, and it’s easy to understand why. The mix of modern city life, traditional culture, beautiful landscapes and incredible attention to detail makes it a fascinating place to photograph. I’m really looking forward to sharing the experience with a group of women photographers and helping them create images they’ll be proud of.”
