Panasonic has officially announced the new Panasonic LUMIX L10, a premium fixed lens camera designed to bring photography back into everyday life as the company celebrates 25 years of the LUMIX brand.

Developed in Osaka, Japan, the LUMIX L10 has been created for photographers who value intuitive handling, refined design and strong image quality over headline specifications. Panasonic says the camera is intended to feel natural in the hand, allowing photographers to focus on the moment rather than the technology.

The camera is available in Black and Silver, alongside a commemorative Panasonic LUMIX L10 Titanium Gold Special Edition created to mark the 25th anniversary of LUMIX. Inspired by the brand’s “Shaping Emotions – Mushin” philosophy, the camera combines a Saffiano leather-textured finish with a magnesium-alloy front case and metal exterior for a classic but contemporary appearance.

Weighing approximately 508g, the L10 is designed for all-day carry and one-handed operation, making it particularly suited to street, travel and everyday photography. Panasonic also seems to have focused heavily on the tactile shooting experience, including the feel of the shutter button, dials and aperture ring.

At the centre of the camera is a LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMILUX 24-75mm equivalent f/1.7-2.8 lens with a machined-metal barrel and manual aperture ring. Panasonic says the lens is designed to deliver smooth tonal gradation, attractive bokeh and the versatility to shoot landscapes, portraits and documentary images. At the wide end of the lens, the closest focusing distance is just 3cm – with autofocusing.

The LUMIX L10 features a 4/3-type back-illuminated CMOS sensor with an effective resolution of 20.4 million pixels and a total pixel count of 26.5 million pixels. Combined with Panasonic’s latest image processing engine, the camera supports Dynamic Range Boost for improved shadow detail and tonal depth.

One of the more unusual features, but not entirely new to Panasonic, is L10’s multi-aspect shooting capability. Panasonic says the oversized sensor allows users to switch between 4:3, 3:2 and 16:9 aspect ratios while maintaining a consistent angle of view, offering greater flexibility when composing images.

Creative colour modes continue to be a major focus for LUMIX. As such, there are two new film-inspired Photo Styles, L.Classic and L.ClassicGold, to deliver softer muted tones and warmer nostalgic colour rendering. Leica Monochrome is also included for black and white photography inspired by Leica’s visual style.

Panasonic has expanded the camera’s workflow tools through the LUMIX Lab app, which supports REAL TIME LUT for loading custom LUTs directly into the camera. Users can also create LUTs using the new AI-powered Magic LUT feature based on reference images. Raw editing, social sharing and high-speed transfers are also all supported through the app.

Performance has not been overlooked either. The L10 includes Phase Hybrid AF with 779 focus points, AI-based subject recognition for people, animals, vehicles and urban sports, plus burst shooting up to 30fps using the electronic shutter.

In addition, there’s a 2.36-million-dot OLED viewfinder and 1.84-million-dot free-angle rear monitor.
