Sunday 6th October, 2024

  Meet-up at Bushy Park, Hampton Wick UK 09:00 Sunday 6th October, 2024  This meet-up is hosted by Sarah Williams. Please meet at the Bushy Park Diana Fountain Car Park at 9am.  There's also another meeting opportunity at the Pheasantry Cafe (which has its own car park) at around 12:30/13:00pm for anyone who can't make the early start.  There is an accessible route, suitable for wheelchair and mobility scooter users.  This meet-up is open to everyone, but it's nice to know who is planning to come along so please either click 'Going' on the Facebook Event or email me at  angela@sheclicks.net  to let us know you plan to attend.

  Fujifilm GFX Macro Experience at Fujifilm House of Photography, 8, 9 Long Acre, London WC2E 9LH 15:15-18:15 Saturday, 12th October, 2024   This event is an opportunity to try a Fujifilm GFX medium format camera for macro photography under expert guidance.  This is also an opportunity to see the Challenge Accepted: A SheClicks Collection (the SheClicks exhibition) at the Fujifilm House of Photography.   Meet-up at Fujifilm House of Photography, 8, 9 Long Acre, London WC2E 9LH 12:00 Sunday 13th October, 2024    17:45 Finish    Paula Wilks  will present some of her amazing images and demonstrate how to use Lensbaby Omni Creative Filters. You will then have the opportunity to try some Lensbaby Omni Kit to create images that will go into an album or photobook. Following a demonstration by  Jemella Ukaegbu , you will have the opportunity to use Fundy Designer to create an album layout.   Please bring:   1. A laptop if possible, with the FREE demo version of Fundy Design V11 installed. 2. Your camera (set to shoot either raw and Jpeg files or just Jpeg if you prefer) 3. Any cables or card reader required to transfer images to a computer.  4. A lens or two - Paula recommends using 50mm or longer lenses with Lensbaby Omni Creative Filters. A 50mm prime lens is ideal.  There will be a safe place to leave your laptop during the photo walk.    How to download and install Fundy Designer V11 :  1. Download Fundy Designer V11 (you may need to log out and back into get the option). 3. Install Fundy Designer V11.   Meet-up at Fujifilm House of Photography, 8, 9 Long Acre, London WC2E 9LH 11:00 -13:00 Friday 18th October, 2024   Our exhibition is coming down on Friday 18th October. If you have an image on show, you can take it away with you on 18th or a few days later. I thought it would be nice to get together for a coffee and one last look at the exhibition before helping the Fujifilm HOP staff take it down.

This meet-up is hosted by Diane Clark, please meet her by the toilets in the main car park for Stodmarsh National Nature Reserve Canterbury CT3 4BB at 10am.

Entry and parking is free, but there’s no cafe, so please bring a packed lunch. Some areas are wheelchair-friendly, and some paths are prone to being muddy so wear appropriate footwear.

The photographic opportunities include the gardens, nature and birds. There’s the cafe for lunch or bring our own and sit outside if it’s a nice day.

Please meet her at 10:30 under the clock tower at Wallington National Trust, Cambo, near Morpeth, Northumberland, NE61 4AR. The Earth Photo Exhibition 2024 is on and there are lots of photographic opportunities in the grounds.  Car parking is free for members and is included in the ticket price for non-members (£18 standard or £19.80 with gift aid). There is a cafe.    Meet-up at The Birks of Aberfeldy, Scotland   09:30 Sunday 27th October, 2024   This meet-up is hosted by Fiona McLean, please meet her in the Birks of Aberfeldy car park at 9:30. National Trust members can park for free, but there is a charge for others. This will mainly be focused on long exposure waterfall photography. There could also be a bit of woodland and close-up photography, making the most of the autumn colours if there is time. Fiona says, 'We'll start at the Birks of Aberfeldy, go into town for lunch, and then head to the Hermitage to finish the day. I'm hoping that people will be able to carpool from Edinburgh or that we can meet at a location just north of Perth and then carpool from there. No meet-up in your area? Why not host one? Hosting a meet-up is easy. Just decide where you would like to photograph, pick a date and time, and then email Angela to receive a form to complete to let her know the details. Then all you need to do is be there at the appointed time.

Locations with good transport links, easy access to toilets and a convenient place for tea/coffee, snacks and/or lunch are usually favoured.
