This is a women-only weekend workshop, a collaboration between SheClicks and Wilde Photography Academy.
Join us for a relaxed but creatively focused weekend on the stunning Jurassic Coast, exploring long exposure and multiple exposure photography in some of Dorset and Devon’s most photogenic coastal locations. Over two days, we’ll work in and around Lyme Regis, Seaton and Beer, using the movement of the sea, coastal textures and shifting light to create expressive, layered images.
This workshop is designed for women who want to slow down, experiment, and build confidence with creative techniques in a supportive, friendly environment.

Janina is a photographer and educator best known for her expressive multiple exposure work and her welcoming, encouraging approach to teaching. She helps photographers develop creative confidence through movement, light and layered compositions. Janina’s workshops are hands-on, supportive and inspiring, with plenty of practical guidance, shared learning and laughter along the way.

Angela is a highly experienced photographer, writer and educator with a particular love of long exposure photography and a subtle, muted colour palette. As the founder of SheClicks, she brings years of industry experience and a clear, approachable teaching style. Angela is especially well-placed to help with camera craft, long exposure techniques and problem-solving across a wide range of modern camera systems.

Participants will need to make their own way between locations. Car sharing can be arranged once the group has met.
Please note that accommodation is not included in the price.
The schedule may change slightly depending on the weather and light conditions.
We’ll start with a warm welcome and introductions, followed by an exploration of beach photography basics. The morning focuses on identifying subjects suited to multiple exposure work, including patterns in shingle, reflections, water movement and coastal textures.
Learn how to create soft, flowing movement in the sea using slower shutter speeds. This session covers tripod setup, using ND filters, choosing shutter speeds for different sea conditions and composing effective seascapes.
As the light fades, we’ll capture dreamy water movement, subtle colour and gentle coastal tones at the end of the day.
An early but peaceful start, working with slow shutter techniques in soft morning light. You’ll also learn how long exposures can be combined into layered multiple exposure images.
Working in Seaton, Beer or Lyme Regis, depending on the conditions, we’ll focus on colour, texture and detail in beach huts, boats and natural surfaces.
We will finish at around 3:00 pm.
