DJI has announced the Mic Mini 2S, a compact wireless microphone system with 32-bit float internal recording and support for up to four transmitters.
The new microphone builds on the DJI Mic Mini 2 while keeping the small and lightweight design. Each transmitter weighs around 12g, so it should be easy to attach to clothing without feeling heavy or distracting.
One of the main additions is 32-bit float internal recording. This captures a wider range of audio levels and gives you more flexibility when editing. It can be particularly useful if someone suddenly speaks much louder or quieter than expected.
Each transmitter has around 14.5GB of built-in storage. This provides space for up to 28 hours of recording at 24-bit or up to 22 hours at 32-bit float. The transmitter can also be used as a standalone recorder, which could be helpful for interviews, voice notes and recording location sound.
Recordings can start automatically when the transmitter is switched on or when it connects to the receiver. DJI has also added an automatic backup feature that starts internal recording if the receiver battery becomes low.
A single Mic Mini 2S receiver can connect to up to four transmitters and supported devices can record each microphone to a separate channel, making it easier to adjust individual voices during editing. This makes the system suitable for group interviews, podcasts and panel discussions as well as one-person videos.
The Mic Mini 2S also includes two AI noise-cancelling settings. Basic is designed for quieter indoor locations while Strong is intended for places with more background noise. There are also three voice settings available, called Regular, Rich and Bright.
The receiver can connect to cameras, smartphones, tablets and computers. The transmitter can also connect directly to compatible smartphones using Bluetooth and to selected DJI cameras through OsmoAudio.
DJI says the transmitter offers around 11 hours of battery life while the receiver lasts for around 10 hours. The charging case increases the total operating time to up to 40 hours. Helpfully, a five-minute charge provides around one hour of use.
The DJI Mic Mini 2S is due to go on sale on 4 August 2026.

The kit with one transmitter and one receiver costs £79 or from €99, while the mobile kit with one transmitter, one mobile receiver and a charging case is also £79 or from €99.
An individual DJI Mic Mini 2S transmitter costs £59 or from €69. The charging case costs £29 or from €33.
The Multi Colour Magnetic Front Cover Set costs £19 or from €19, while the Time Series Magnetic Front Cover Set costs £35 or from €39.
In Hong Kong, the two-transmitter kit is listed at HKD $1,299. The one-transmitter kits cost HKD $739 and an individual transmitter costs HKD $489.
