Sujata Setia, recipient of the SheClicks 2025 Spotlight Award is an interdisciplinary artist whose work explores social justice, gender-based violence, identity, and the lived experiences of “otherness.”

From documentary storytelling to conceptual portraiture, Sujata’s practice combines photography, research, and community collaboration to challenge cultural narratives and create space for underrepresented voices.

Have a question for Sujata? Perhaps about building meaningful photographic projects, ethical storytelling, exhibiting work internationally, awards, visibility in the industry, or balancing art with activism. Please send it my way.

Photographer and active SheClicker, Philippa Huber is going to join me in the SheClicks Women in Photography Podcast soon. Philippa is a pet, wildlife and creative nature photographer based in Wiltshire. After buying her first SLR in Marseille in the early 90s, photography became a much bigger part of her life when she returned to the UK in 2019 and started travelling the canals and rivers on her narrowboat. She now works full-time as a photographer, balancing her pet photography business with creative nature work, including ICM, multiple exposures, and Lensbaby flower photography.

She shoots with Nikon gear, including the Nikon Z8, and also prints, mounts and frames her own work from her workshop and gallery space. Philippa’s pet shoots are all about fun and being outdoors, and I know lots of you will relate to her love of creating fine art prints.

As always, the second half of the podcast will feature the Six From SheClicks section, where Philippa answers six questions submitted by the community. I’ll compile 10 questions from your suggestions and Philippa will pick six at random during the recording.

So, what would you like to ask her?

You could ask about:
📷 Starting a photography business ‘later’ in life
🐾 Pet photography
🦆 Wildlife photography
🌸 Creative techniques like ICM and multiple exposures
🖼 Printing and selling fine art prints
🚤 Life and photography on a narrowboat
📸 Nikon cameras and lenses
🎪 Craft fairs, markets and exhibitions
💼 Going full-time as a photographer
