About Claire
Claire Bradshaw is an astrophotographer and STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) advocate. She has been a fan of space since a child but it was only in 2013 that she took up astrophotography, using a Canon EOS 100D and binoculars. A friend's gift of a reflector telescope on a tracking mount enabled her to enter the world of deep space object photography in 2014. Building upon these early skills, she now operates several refractors and reflectors to shoot everything from solar, lunar, planetary and deep sky using specialist astrophotography cameras. In 2022, she began work on a photobook promoting women in STEM and, after being joined by 10 other women worldwide, is looking to release it in early 2025. In 2024 Claire was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Astronomical Society for her outreach work in Astronomy.
