The Art of Intentional Camera Movement

Presenter: Charlotte Bellamy
Charlotte explains how and why she got into ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) and then looks at all the technical factors of the craft including the camera settings and the direction and speed of the movement as well as aspects such as composition and contrast.

About Charlotte
Charlotte Bellamy’s creative style of photography is inspired by the environment in which she lives. Her early photographic career over 10 years ago, tended towards portraits and weddings. However, a move to the Netherlands triggered her interest in landscapes. After five years following a traditional landscape photography path, she felt a need to express her feelings about the locations she was photographing. Charlotte is a panel member and judge with The Guild of Photographers in the UK. Her images have won her numerous awards including ‘all-round photographer of the year’ two years running with The Guild. Her work has been published in the ‘Creative light’ and ‘On Landscape’ online magazines and in ‘Camera craft’ magazine in the UK. She has exhibited in the ‘Connected’ exhibition in the UK in April 2019. She hosted her first exhibition of her work ‘Netherlands through new eyes’ in 2014, and she is a regular exhibitor at the Doesburg Culturele Zondag.
