Piper Mackay, USA: A Rendile girl, adorned in elaborate traditional attire, is covered in beads and ornaments, symbolizing her readiness for marriage and attracting a husband. Captured in infrared, the surreal tones of the desolate environment amplify her presence as she stands alone amidst the emptiness as a symbol of resilience and grace.

Piper Mackay - Overall Winner Travel Photographer of the Year
The highest accolade was awarded to Piper Mackay (USA), whose breathtaking portfolio showcased exceptional in-camera creativity. Her images masterfully capture the essence of travel and human connection, leaving a lasting impression on the judges.
Jenny Stock – Winner, Wildlife, Nature & Underwater
UK-based Jenny Stock’s mesmerising images highlight the intricate beauty of crocodiles. Jenny conquered her (quite natural) fear of the creatures to snorkel with them, capturing her eye-catching portfolio.
Linda Wride, UK: Pottery is an age old tradition in the village of Avanos, in the Cappadocia region of Turkey. Gokhan carries on the tradition, using clay from the nearby Red River to make pots for everyday use.

Linda Wride – Runner-Up, Travel in Monochrome Portfolio, Winner, Best Single Image Travel in Monochrome
While Linda Wride (UK) earned runner-up status in the portfolio category of Travel in Monochrome with her evocative black-and-white imagery from Cappadocia, Turkey, she is also the winner of the best single image award. Her work showcases the artistry of traditional pottery making. Linda’s keen eye for light and detail brought these timeless scenes to life.
Vicky Fry – Special Mention, Travel in Monochrome Portfolio
Another UK talent, Vicky Fry, was specially mentioned for her atmospheric monochrome portfolio. Vicky’s work explores light and shadow with subtle elegance, creating moody and timeless photographs that linger in your memory.
Jo Kearney – Winner, Festivals & Celebrations, Runner-up Women in World Culture
Jo Kearney (UK) had a spectacular year in the awards, winning the One Shot: Festivals & Celebrations category with a vibrant image of girls celebrating during ‘Chilam Joshi,’ also known as the Kalash Spring Festival. She also earned runner-up in the One Shot: Women in World Culture category with a photograph taken the day before the Chilam Joshi festival when the children were wearing their festival clothes to school. It’s a delightful image that suggests mischief and fun.

The Rising Talent category celebrates emerging photographers making their mark with creativity and vision. Agnieszka Wieczorek (Poland) captivated the judges with her attractive compositions that blend artistry and storytelling. Jo Martindale (UK) impressed with her compelling visual narratives. Kaz Rollinson (UK) demonstrated a fabulous ability to capture dynamic scenes. Sofia Brogi (Italy) also wowed the judges with her ability to create evocative and timeless images. Together, these four photographers represent a new wave of talent shaping travel photography.
