SheClicks is going to The Photography Show!

I’ve been going to The Photography Show since long before it was called The Photography Show, and I love it. Back when it was Focus on Imaging, I used to meet-up with my Dad and we’d spend a day roaming around looking at all the great new products, then that evening we’d chat over a curry about what we wanted to buy. The next day, we’d head back to the show and splash the cash.

Now that I work in photography and I know most of the exhibitors, as well as many of the visitors, it’s changed but is just as special. It’s a great chance to catch up with friends, see some really cool kit and chat about photography. And of course, I’m usually running around with the rest of the Camera Jabber team, shooting a few videos and interviewing people live on Facebook.

As SheClicks started in August 2018, the 2019 show was the first time that we could meet there. It was great to see so many SheClickers and hear about their photography. We also had some exclusive demonstrations and talks, as well as a few chats over coffee.

So naturally, I’m delighted to say that SheClicks will have a stand (H91) at The Photography Show 2020. This will make it much easier to find each other and to hand out badges etc. I’m also in conversation with some of the camera and accessory manufacturers about having talks on our stand. More information on that nearer the time.

Of course, having a stand at the show means we’ll need to staff it, and if you’d like to volunteer to spend half a day, or maybe a couple of hours on the stand, please drop me a line at angela@sheclicks.net.

The Photography Show takes place at the NEC, Birmingham, UK from 14th-17th March 2020. It’s the UK’s biggest photography and video show and last year it had over 32,000 visitors over the four days. There are lots of live demonstrations and inspiring talks as well as over 300 brands showing their latest products with plenty of opportunities for you to get hands-on with the kit.
