Leica Camera has officially opened the 6th annual Leica Women Foto Project Award for entries. This prestigious competition invites photographers to submit works that elevate diverse and underrepresented perspectives. With the theme, ‘Unity Through Diversity’, applicants are encouraged to create photo essays centred on the importance of connection in a time of division.

The award is open to participants from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Mexico (excluding Québec), and for the third consecutive year, Leica will choose one winner from each region. Each recipient will receive a Leica SL3 camera with a Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-70mm f/2.8 ASPH. lens, and a $10,000 USD prize.

Established to support and highlight the feminine perspective in visual storytelling, the Leica Women Foto Project has worked with key partners like Women Photograph, Photoville, Las Fotos Project and the ConnectHer Film Festival. Through these collaborations, Leica has fostered female-driven narratives and helped launch the Leica Women Foto Project Grant with the Leica Society International.
